The Children's Garden

The Children's Garden offers a warm and caring environment where children from two to five years old can explore and grow as unique individuals. Each child is provided multiple opportunities to pursue individual curiosity and engage in creative self-expression.

Through careful observation and teamwork, teachers focus on creating environments that reflect the children's ever-changing interests and desires to experiment and learn. Classrooms evolve continuously. A loft is a cozy reading space one month, a cave with stalagmites another month, a doctor's office replete with real medical equipment another month. The children are encouraged to help design their space and develop their own creative talents.

There are daily opportunities for classes of differing ages to interact, whether on the playground, on a walk in the woods or in a campus building, such as the gymnasium or dance lab. Individual children also visit other classrooms throughout the day, to join a sibling or to take part in a particular classroom's project.
