I am writing to reflect a bit on the beauty and joy of Family Visit Days last weekend—even the weather lent its warm approval to our festivities!

Thank you, families, for visiting classes, engaging with each other and with teachers and administrators and expanding our community so bountifully at assembly. Thank you, faculty and staff, for preparing our school for the visits and for welcoming all into our classrooms. And, of course, our students—a great appreciation for all the hard work, ideas and creative thinking they bring our way every day.

The depth of engagement and conversation over the two days was such a powerful testament to the strength of our community and to the relationships that we build here at CSW; I was particularly happy to see and spend time with boarding families who made the journey from out-of-state and even out of the country.

The “Works-In-Progress” assembly provided a clear window into student life in and out of the classroom. It was also very meaningful for me to speak with the whole community about our progress with the Health & Fitness Center and our fundraising. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to visit the page on our website for the Health & Fitness Center project -- in addition to answering FAQs and providing architectural renderings of the building, it also features several videos, including the student video we shared during assembly. We are building our 21st Century - thank you for partnering with us in this vital, exciting effort.

Back to the beam; it will be there for a long, long, time—how good to know it is in our building, bearing the names and good wishes of our students, staff and faculty. Thanks to everyone for their participation in these glorious days!
