League playoffs for both the CSW's Girls' Varsity Soccer, Boys' Varsity Soccer, and Cross Country teams begin this week!

Girls' Varsity Soccer
The Girls' Varsity Soccer team posted a league record of 6 wins and 5 losses and finished the regular season in 4th place in the Independent Girls Conference (IGC). The top six teams in the IGC participate in the playoffs with the top two teams receiving first round byes. The quarterfinals will be played on Tuesday, 10/28/14, with CSW (#4 seed) hosting Gann Academy (#5 seed) at 3:30 pm on the lower fields. 

Brimmer & May (#3 seed) will be hosting the Landmark School (#6 seed). The semifinals are scheduled to be played on Thursday, 10/30/14, starting at 3:30 pm, with the Montrose School (#1 seed) hosting the winner of the CSW vs. Gann Academy quarterfinal and the Waring School (#2 seed) hosting the winner of the Brimmer vs. Landmark quarterfinal. The championship game is scheduled to be played onTuesday, 11/4/14, starting at 3:30 pm (location TBD), at the higher seed's field.
 
Boys' Varsity Soccer
Final regular season standings for the Mass. Bay Independent League (MBIL) Division 1
have not been determined as yet. CSW's Boys' Varsity Soccer team has posted a league record of 7 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie and currently stands in 2nd place in the MBIL Division 1, with two league game remaining to be played this week. This afternoon, 10/27/14, BVS hosts the Brimmer & May School at 4:00 pm on the lower fields. On Wednesday, 10/29/14, BVS travels to the Waring School for a game starting at 4:00 pm.
 
The top six teams in the MBIL Division 1 participate in the playoffs with the top two teams receiving first round byes. The quarterfinals will be played on Thursday, 10/30/14, starting at 3:30 pm with the #3 seed hosting the #6 seed and the #4 seed hosting the #5 seed. The semifinals will be played on Monday, 11/3/14, starting at 3:30 pm, with the #1 seed hosting the winner of the #4 vs. #5 quarterfinal and the #2 seed hosting the winner of the #3 vs. #6 quarterfinal. The championship game is scheduled to be played on Wednesday, 11/5/14 (location TBD), at the higher seed's field.

Cross Country
CSW's Cross Country team has posted some solid results this year, finishing 1st twice, 2nd twice, 3rd once and 4th once. In the Gryphons' most recent meet, CSW placed 2nd as a team, missing out on first place by only 1 point. Zachary Joachim '15 continued his winning ways, finishing first overall in a time of 19:06. The Cross Country team travels to Gann Academy on Wednesday, 10/29/14, to run in the MBIL Cross Country Championship Meet. The meet is scheduled to start at 3:30 pm. We expect 8-10 schools and well over 100 runners to participate in the meet.
