The CSW Spring Spirit Ultimate Frisbee Tournament was hosted at The Cambridge School of Weston on a beautiful and sunny Saturday, April 18.

The tournament was attended by five Ultimate Frisbee B-teams: CSW, Marianapolis, Chapel Hill-Chauncey Hall, Shady Hill, and Pingree. The tournament was a "spirit tournament," meaning that the only scores collected at the end of each game were Spirit of the Game scores (on a 1 to 10 scale) voted on by each team.

Spirit of the Game sets Ultimate apart from other competitive team sports. For over 30 years, Ultimate has flourished, reaching a highly competitive level, without the use of referees. The weather was beautiful and all teams brought great spirit and energy to the tournament. CSW played four competitive games and all of Uruk-Hai's players showed fantastic spirit throughout the day, complementing opponents, making new friends, and staying positive no matter the score or outcome of their games.

The final spirit score winner was Pingree, though all teams received high spirit scores throughout the tournament. Of note were the teams that had very few substitutes (Marianapolis and Pingree, in particular), as they still played all of their games and displayed amazing spirit.

Thanks to all the participants and supporters of CSW's inaugural Spring Spirit Ultimate Frisbee Tournament!
