Mathematics

The CSW mathematics curriculum ensures a sound knowledge of fundamental concepts, and expands students' abilities to think logically, solve problems and grasp abstract ideas. Because mathematics is basic to many other disciplines, including science, art and technology, all students are encouraged to take math through precalculus and to pursue math study every year.

Students are required to complete Algebra, Geometry and Algebra II, and must take math in their junior and senior year. Students can challenge themselves through advanced level courses, including Calculus AB and BC and Multivariable Calculus. They may also propose independent study projects, and participate in math competitions, including the national American Math Competition.

For those students needing extra support, CSW provides one-on-one math tutorials and access to daily math labs. In addition, the program offers Math Skills, an elective course for students who need individualized instruction within a class setting.
