Integrated Studies

CSW believes young people learn best when they are actively engaged, solving problems and applying new concepts to their own experiences. Some of the most dynamic and potent opportunities for this type of learning come from CSW's integrated studies courses. These are hands-on interdisciplinary courses organized around a particular theme and, in most cases, team taught by faculty from different departments. The courses can combine history, science, mathematics, English and the arts. By bridging disciplines, these courses inspire students to seek new connections and generate original ideas.
