We chose CSW for Jesse because we wanted a small school environment where each student matters to each teacher. We were also discouraged by the public schools' increasing reliance on standardized testing as a means to measure progress and as a "stick" to drive curriculum.
CSW has provided Jesse with direct and personal feedback on her academic performance and interesting, unusual and unique course offerings. Jesse has thrived at CSW in part because all aspects of her interests are recognized and stimulated, from theatre and creative writing to athletics and student leadership.
The best thing about CSW is knowing that Jesse is appreciated and nurtured toward full and responsible citizenship in an ever more complex world community. The CSW community is welcoming, caring and a wonderful environment to test the "roots and wings" theory of child rearing. Jesse is confident in her opinions, happy in her social circles and daring in her theatrical roles. Although Jesse arrived at CSW with all of the above intact, her high school experience at CSW has reinforced and strengthened her self-assurance, her joie de vivre, and her fearlessness. She will be well-prepared for college and for life.
