CSW seeks intellectual, motivated and curious students who possess imagination, energy and a willingness to take risks. Our students take a particularly active role in their learning and explore a wide range of academic and personal interests. Teachers at CSW set high expectations for their students, and the Module System curriculum is designed to encourage and bolster a student’s commitment to independent thinking and intellectual challenge.

CSW looks for a student body that is racially, culturally and geographically diverse. We attract an applicant pool from various Massachusetts communities, eight states and eight countries. We weigh carefully a student’s transcript, application essay, letters of recommendation, test scores and extracurricular activities. In addition, the Admissions Committee welcomes students who demonstrate the potential for academic success in a supportive environment. These tools, along with the personal interview, help us to determine how a prospective student can benefit from, and contribute to, CSW.
