Visual Arts

The Visual Arts Department at CSW believes all students are creative geniuses, and with the right encouragement and guidance, every student will access his or her artistic voice. The program inspires and challenges students with a wide range of demanding art classes for all levels, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, filmmaking and computer art.

Courses are designed to help students develop visual literacy, gain high levels of skill and hone the ability to critically evaluate creative work. Assignments often require students to explore different approaches, encouraging them to take creative risks and become innovative problem solvers.

Graduates of CSW's arts program are regularly admitted into the top art colleges in the nation, including Cooper Union, Rhode Island School of Design, Art Institute of Chicago and Massachusetts College of Art.
