Children ages 2 to 5.

Hours

Monday-Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., with an extended day option, which runs from 2:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. (changes to 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for the 2007-2008 school year). All children must be enrolled a minimum of three days weekly.

Facilities

Three separate classrooms, the Annex, First Story, and Second Story, each with an adjoining deck. The playground, fields, ponds and wooded trails, as well as CSW's gymnasium, dance lab and other facilities are integral to the life of Children's Garden.

Staff

Two fully certified teachers with degrees in Early Childhood Education in each classroom, assisted by CSW student interns, with a full-time director supervising all activity. The teacher/student ratio is roughly 1:4 in the two year old room, 1:5 in the three year old room, and 1:7 in the four and five year old room. This does not include the student interns.

Calendar

September through the third week of June. Summer program runs through mid-August. We are closed for: legal holidays, one-and-a-half weeks for the winter vacation, and one week during February and April, corresponding with public school vacations. We are closed the last two weeks of August.
