The Cambridge School of Weston

The Garthwaite Center for Science and Art

Learning Facilities

The galleries offer space for students to display both science and art exhibits. The atrium includes a planter to study a small, wetland ecosystem. Signs around the building point out and explain its many green features. Non-classroom areas expand the space for interdisciplinary and independent study. Upgraded and expanded science classrooms improve the study and work environment. Students can study the building's efficiency as an ongoing biological and physical exploration.

Community Gallery

In keeping with the idea that CSW is a community, this gallery was built to be a space for gathering and discussion. The room will also house the End-of-Mod Art Shows and include science projects in external hallways.

Secure Gallery

The Secure Gallery was designed to showcase traveling art exhibits and other educational displays for the CSW community. The gallery will showcase alumni and faculty art, as well as selections from our permanent collection. Exhibits will be coordinated by Todd Bartel, art teacher. Students can see firsthand contemporary art when used as classroom examples.
