Jane's Pocket Change: Our House

In addition to the beauty of a snowy winter weekend compliments of a visit from Mother Nature here in Boston, CSW also enjoyed visits from alumni/ae, parents and friends of the school at several welcoming events held at The Fit this past week.
In addition to the beauty of a snowy winter weekend compliments of a visit from Mother Nature here in Boston, CSW also enjoyed visits from alumni/ae, parents and friends of the school at several welcoming events held at The Fit this past week.
Let me share details of one event created for a specific set of visitors. Originally scheduled for Saturday evening but moved to Sunday afternoon given the weather, the alumni/ae basketball pick-up games attracted more than 20 graduates from the classes of 2004 through 2016 as well as former coaches Rob DiBernardo and Pat Ferdinand. Organized by the alumni/ae office and the athletic department, the games were also hosted by two of our current coaches who happen to be CSW grads: Jordan Clark ‘05 And Manny Haile ‘08. What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. There was an abundance of smiles, hugs, double takes and nods. Our young graduates had grown taller and older. For me, watching the reunions, the banter, the warm-up shots and the games, I simply could not stop smiling. There was some mighty impressive playing going on but to be honest, it was the camaraderie and happiness that couldn’t help but warm us all up on a bitterly cold day.

Oh, and I need to mention the big wide-open eyes and the dropped jaws - these alumni/ae were in awe of the building - its size, design, the features and, of course, the locker rooms and the courts. They played on well after the scheduled time had ended, seemingly full of energy. We hope to see you again CS-dubs! Go Gryphons!

What a fantastic new “house” our community owns, and how nice it is to be able to welcome so many within our CSW family in to enjoy it.
