Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are tours available prior to making a decision?
Of course! We would welcome a visit from you and your family. Please call the camp office at (781) 642-8666 to schedule a convenient day and time.

2. Is there an open house before the start of camp?
The weekend before camp starts, we hold an open house for registered campers. This is an opportunity for campers to meet their counselors, visit home bases, collect camp t-shirts, and meet new program staff.

3. What time is drop off and pick up?
Morning drop off is from 8:45 – 9:00 am. Parents/guardians have two options for morning drop off. Parking is available in our Georgian Road lot for parents who would like to walk their camper(s) to morning assembly. A counselor from each group will be waiting at the amphitheater for their campers.

Parents who need to drop campers off should use the lower entrance to the campus, which runs through the playing fields. Counselors and staff will be waiting to greet campers each morning. Camp staff are present to open car doors and escort campers to a waiting counselor. At 9:00 am all campers and staff will walk up to the amphitheater for morning assembly. If you will be dropping off your child(ren) after 9:00 am, please come directly to the camp office and sign each child in. Summer camp staff will escort these campers to their groups.

Parents may pick up their camper(s) from afternoon assembly starting at approximately 3:30 pm. Please be sure to let your child’s Group Leader know that you will be leaving with your camper. Following assembly, campers are escorted to the lower fields for general pick up. If you will be picking up your child at the lower entrance, please plan to be there between 3:45-4:00 pm.

4. What are the staff to camper ratios for the summer day camp? Do the groups have both female and male counselors?
Our staff to camper ratio is generally 3 counselors to every 15 campers. These ratios do not include swim, program or administrative staff. Our staff is coed and has a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.

5. How are the campers grouped?
Campers are assigned to groups based on the grade they are entering the next school year. Groups are coed and we try to balance the gender ratio in each group.

6. Is it possible for my children to be placed in the same group as their friend(s)?
We make every effort to accommodate one friend request per camper. Please be sure to fill out the appropriate section of the camper application and send it in as soon as possible.

7. Do you provide lunch and snacks during the day?
Yes! Monday through Thursday we offer an extensive lunch buffet to campers. Each day there are several hot lunch options (a sample menu might be spaghetti and meat balls, steamed string beans and garlic bread) as well as a sandwich and salad bar. The cost of lunch is fully covered by your tuition. A light afternoon snack is offered to campers Monday through Thursday. Our snack choices include a variety of granola bars, fruits or popsicles.

8. Do you have a full-time nurse on staff?
Yes, the camp is fortunate to have a rotation of two experienced nurses on staff.

9. What is an Overday?
Overdays are special extended days offered to all groups twice during the camp season. The Overday usually consists of a late swim, games and activities, a cookout supper on the quadrangle, an after supper sing and a campfire with s’mores. Parents are welcome to join us at the campfire.

10. What is the best way to communicate with my child’s counselor?
We encourage parents/guardians to attend our Open House on June 24. This is a great opportunity to meet the men and women who will be working with your child. Once camp begins, you may call the camp office and leave a message for a staff member and your call will be returned that same day.

11. Where can I find an application
Right here!
