This performing and recording band will play any style of music the band members choose (Rock, Jazz, Blues, Hip-Hop, your choice!). We will play weekly concerts on the big stage in the Mugar Theater, record audio tracks (mp3s) for upload onto the CSW website, make a music video and a CD! Open to all instruments and vocalists. All students also receive private instruction time with the teacher to help them get the most out of this exciting musical experience.

Peter Wiernik, our Rock Music instructor, began playing guitar at age eight, and by age twelve was playing in garage bands and performing in the Baltimore, MD area. During high school, Peter moved to New York, where he began to study music seriously. At the State University of New York, he studied music theory and studio recording, which sparked an interest in studio work. This experience led to gigs for radio and television, as well as CD releases. Peter graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1994, with a bachelor's degree in music performance and also studied commercial arranging while there. Since then, he has performed all over New England, up and down the East Coast, appeared on multiple recordings, and earned his master of music degree from Boston University. Peter has been teaching private lessons (guitar, bass, theory, and recording) since 1986. He is currently training over fifty private students per week at his Sudbury studio.
