The CSW Girls' JV soccer team has had an amazing season this fall. They finished the season with an astounding 7 wins, 1 tie and 1 loss.
Head Coach and CSW Math teacher
Julia Cornue recently reported on the team's successful fall.
"On the offensive side, our team had a strong attack which was supported largely by our midfielders. The midfielders -
Lena Christakis '16,
Hannah Scharmer '16,
Emma Weiss '16,
Maisie Smith '16 and
Cady Alden '15, held a huge role when it came to moving the ball up the field to our attackers. Midfielders and attack did an amazing job crossing the ball in front of the goal to finish with the ball in the net, as well as, making smart passes to keep possession. Goals were made by all of our attackers, including Maise Smith,
Juliane Iwerks '16 ,
Lulu Fong '14, Cady Alden,
Leah Rapperport '14, and
Yiwei Qi '13. Great job girls!
On the defensive side, our goalie - Ming Pookayaporn '13, our sweeper - Sierra Moody '15, and our stoppers - Yamina Sfiat '14 and Lizzy Warncke '16 really held as the back bone of our team. Our defensive wings - Denisha Davis '15, Felicia Imbriano '14, and Ellie Wolf '15, put in great effort by never letting anyone through to the goal and really held a defensive structure that could not be broken.
The girls as a whole unit really deserved these wins and successfully ended the season."
Three cheers for the Girls' JV soccer team on a fantastic season!
