  • Remembering Joe Schaaf

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of former CSW Trustee and Music Department Chair Joe Schaaf. Joe was head of the Music Department from 1960 to 1972, during which time he helped to make music a central component of life at CSW.
  • PEL Fellows Present Integrated Studies Courses

    Charlotte Kaftan-Luckerman
Every year since 2011, CSW has been proud to host Progressive Education Lab (PEL) fellows who live and teach on campus for two mods, with guidance and mentoring from veteran educators. This year’s fellows were Ruth Bagley, Matt Linden, Sarah Nelson, and Arielle Drisko '12. As part of their training, the fellows were tasked with creating and designing a class integrating multiple departments and fields of learning, drawing on a progressive pedagogy. They presented their work to the community in late November.

    Charlotte Kaftan-Luckerman
Art Teacher and Thompson Gallery Director Todd Bartel has been invited to exhibit and donate a piece of artwork to the Bennington Museum as part of their annual fundraiser known as “The Festival.”
