Class Description

In this course, students explored various basic methods and materials related to creating sculptural artwork. Both traditional and non-traditional aspects of working in three dimensions were investigated.
The module began with a series of exercises to familiarize the students with fundamental skills. This was followed by longer projects that explored observational, conceptual, and abstractive methods. All projects asked students to consider the specific qualities, traditions, and meanings related to sculpture.
