CSW Welcomes New Faculty and Staff

Jeff Adams
joins the community as a second-year PEL fellow, working in the Office of Student Life, teaching health and psychology classes, and assisting the student mentor program. He will also be a dorm associate in the residential life program. Jeff is a graduate of Binghamton University with a B.S. in human development and a minor in education.

Anthony Butler joins his wife, CSW Spanish teacher Doralis Perez-Soto, in the residential life community as a dorm parent. Anthony is the Director of Academic Partnerships at Worcester Academy where he also teaches Spanish. He is a graduate of Clark University with a B.A. in Spanish and philosophy; he received his M.A. in Spanish from Middlebury College and he earned his Ph.D. in romance languages from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Kathy Chery is CSW’s Chief Financial Officer. She most recently was Chief Operating Officer at Westover School; prior to this she was Director of Finance, Operations and Financial Aid at the Chestnut Hill School for five years. Kathy held similar business manager positions at Mother Caroline Academy and the Match School, and worked as a controller at the Boston Foundation. Kathy received her masters of business administration from Curry College; she earned her B.S. in business administration from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.

The Development Office has welcomed Tim Clark in the role of Data and Development Services Administrator. Tim’s professional experience ranges from editorial and research work to lecturing and teaching. Tim holds a Ph.D. in religion from Emory University, a M.A. in theology from St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary and a B.A. in history from Yale University.

Emma Fedor has taken on the position of Content Manager with the Office of Marketing & Communications. Emma comes to CSW from Pingree School where she was Assistant Director of Communications for two years; previously she was a publications and alumni relations staff assistant at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Emma graduated from Kenyon College with a B.A. in English and Spanish.

Michele Levy has joined CSW in the role of Chief Marketing Officer in a consulting capacity this year. Michele, who founded her firm ML Brand Strategy Consulting in 2004, has recently worked with several independent schools in a similar capacity, including Walnut Hill School—performing communications and advancement audits, developing brand strategy and integrated messaging. Michele serves on several boards, including Circus Smirkus where she is chair of the board (and where her son, Chase ’19, is a “Smirko” circus artist).

The Business Office has welcomes Aaron Lieske as Staff Accountant, responsible for accounts payable and operating the school store. Aaron's previous accounting work experience was at Old Sturbridge Village. A recent graduate of Nichols College with a B.S. in Business Administration, Aaron is currently pursuing a master of science in Accounting at Nichols College.  
 
The science department welcomes Pamela Palomera. Pamela has just completed her M.S. in energy engineering at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell; she earned a B.S. in computer engineering from University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez. Pamela has been teaching physics at Gann Academy for the past three years; prior to this she taught at Beaver Country Day School and before that was an adjunct faculty instructor in mechanical engineering at the Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Dino Rowan joined the Office of Marketing and Communications earlier this year as Digital Content/Multimedia Specialist, focusing on photo and video production. Dino has a B.F.A. from Montserrat College of Art. He has also studied art at the Art Institute of Boston and the Ringling College of Art and Design.
 
CSW’s new Health Educator/9th Grade Counselor is Bernice Ruiz. Over a total of six years, Bernice worked as Senior Associate and then Director of Support Services at the Steppingstone Foundation in Boston. She has interned as a clinician under the Franciscan Hospital for Children’s child wellness initiative, as well as a counselor for Aid to Incarcerated Mothers. Bernice earned a master’s in social work from Boston College and has a B.A. in education studies and public policy from Brown University.

CSW’s Dean of Equity & Inclusion is Rosanna Salcedo, who has 18 years’ experience in school administration and teaching. Rosanna spent the last four years as Dean of Multicultural Affairs at Phillips Exeter Academy, where she also had served in the roles of Associate Dean of Faculty and Spanish teacher, as well as Dean of Admissions and Dean of Students within the school’s summer school. Rosanna earned her M.Ed. in human development and psychology from Harvard Graduate School of Education and graduated from Amherst College with a B.A. in psychology.
 
Krista Sonia will be our technical theatre fellow this year. In 2015 Krista graduated with a B.A. in performance arts and estudios hispanicos from St. Lawrence University, where throughout her college career she gained extensive experience as a technical, wardrobe and teaching assistant. Krista started the 2016-2017 school year as a theatre teaching intern at Phillips Exeter, ending her year there as technical director.

Jenna Wolf is CSW’s Director of Library & Technology Integration. Jenna has spent the last 16 years at Beaver Country Day School where she most recently held the title of Director of Research and Technology; prior roles were Director of Library and Information Services and Technology Help Desk Coordinator. Jenna’s early professional experience was as a reporter/freelance writer for The Boston Herald. Jenna has a M.A. in library and information science from Simmons College and a B.S. in journalism from Boston University.

The Cambridge School of Weston is a progressive high school for day and boarding students in grades 9–12 and PG. CSW's mission is to provide a progressive education that emphasizes deep learning, meaningful relationships, and a dynamic program that inspires students to discover who they are and what their contribution is to their school, their community and the world.
