Boys' Varsity Basketball Finishes 1st in the League

CSW’s Boys' Varsity Basketball team finished in the top spot of the Massachusetts Bay Independent League (MBIL) Division I this past week, going 9-1 in the league and 10-4 overall. Their efforts on the court have earned them a first round bye in the league championship tournament. The Gryphons will host the winner of the Boston University Academy and Brimmer & May quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday, February 13 at the Fit.

At time of press, the league standings are as follows:
 
1          Cambridge School of Weston (9-1)
2         Gann Academy (8-2)
3         Boston Trinity Academy (7-3)
4         BU Academy (4-6)
5         Brimmer and May School (2-8)
6         Newman School (0-10)
 
The Championship game is scheduled to be played on Thursday, February 15 (or a mutually agreeable date) at the higher seeded team’s home court.
 
The Gryphons have fought hard to get where they are this season, pulling off close victories against tough opponents like Landmark School (61-58), Gann Academy (61-55), and Boston Trinity (74-67).
