Noah Berz ‘22 Wins Rondo Young Artists Vanguard Competition

CSW violinist Noah Berz '22 recently won first place in the Rondo Young Artists Vanguard Competition! Last year Noah won first prize in the Rondo Young Artists Festival and this year he entered the more advanced Rondo Young Artists Vanguard Competition. These international competitions for musicians under 18 years old are very competitive, and Noah and his family are excited about this great achievement.

As a contestant, Noah played the first movement of Julius Conus’s violin concerto in E minor as well as the first movement of Beethoven’s 7th Sonata in C Minor. Each year, the competition holds a winner's concert at Carnegie Hall to recognize musicians of this achievement. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, this year's concert was canceled.

This summer, Noah planned to attend to the Meadowmount School of Music in upstate New York for a seven-week summer experience. Sadly, this camp was recently canceled due to COVID-19. He now plans to spend the summer practicing and taking online music theory and performance classes. He looks forward to being Music Ambassador for the CSW Music Department next year and hopes to study violin performance at a conservatory in the future.
