CSW Welcomes New Faculty & Staff

Amber Crossman joins the Admissions team as the new admissions coordinator. Amber graduated from Brandeis University this past spring with a BA in sociology and a minor in theater. In her time at Brandeis, Amber served as a campus ambassador and a front desk worker for the school’s admissions office, regularly interfacing with prospective students and families. She has also worked in publicity and management at St. Joseph’s Summer Theater in Needham, MA, and was a stage manager and director’s assistant at Needham Summer Explorations. 

Alan Miles is our new director of athletics. A soccer enthusiast, Alan has worked as a coach, trainer, counselor, and program director for a wide variety of soccer teams, leagues, and clubs, most recently serving as a physical education teacher at Brookwood School, a complementary house counselor at Phillips Academy, a candidate assessor at United Soccer Coaches, and regional director (North) of Global Premier Soccer. 

Erin Maki joined the Business Office this past spring as director of business operations. Erin has a bachelor's of business administration from Bryant University and has served as finance director and senior accountant for a number of businesses and foundations. 

Susan Ryan is our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Prior to CSW, Susan was CFO at Canterbury School in Fort Myers, FL, and Boston College High School. She has also been a lecturer in accounting at UMass Boston, director of finance at the Babson College School of Executive Education, controller at Curry College, and director of financial services at Boston University School of management. She holds a BS in management/finance from UMass Boston and an MBA from Babson College. 

The Development Office welcomes Michelle McLaughlin as its development coordinator. Michelle has worked in the CSW Development Office before, serving as the development associate for parent and alumni/ae relations from 2008 to 2011. She has since worked at Wheelock College, Notre Dame Academy, Curry College, and Academy of Notre Dame working in both fundraising and parent and alumni/ae relations. Michelle has a BA in corporate communications from Framingham State College. 

KB Kinkel joins the English Department from Worcester Academy, where they have worked as an upper school English and creative writing teacher for the past six years. While at Worcester Academy, KB also advised the student newspaper, coached swimming, and served on the school’s Equity & Inclusion Steering Committee. KB has a BA in English from Bowdoin College, and an MFA in creative writing from the University of Iowa’s Writers’ Workshop. 

Louis Hutchins has returned to the CSW English Department after a brief hiatus this past year. Louis has taught in both the History and English Departments at CSW. He earned his BA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and his MA in American History at the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to teaching, Louis loves to bake bread, row, and re-read books he first read in high school.

Tom Galvin, our new director of facilities, comes to CSW with a wealth of experience in maintenance, security, public safety, risk management, and plant operations. Tom was formerly facilities manager at Learning Prep School; director of facilities and public safety at Roxbury Community College; and director of facilities at Newton Country Day School, among other relevant roles. He holds a BS in pre-law in business administration from Suffolk University. 

The Health & Wellness team welcomes Tracy Domitrz as a School Counselor and Grade 10 Class Coordinator. Tracy comes to CSW from Boston College High school, where she served as an intern (one year), and then counselor (six years) for 7th and 8th grade students. Tracy has a bachelor’s in cultural anthropology and arts in classical civilizations from Boston University, and a master’s in school counseling from Suffolk University, where she was named School Counseling Student of the Year. 

YuHan Chang joins the Language Department as a Mandarin teacher. Prior to coming to the U.S. to teach Mandarin as a second language at schools in Oregon, New York, and Minnesota, YuHan worked as a special education and English teacher in her native Taiwan. She has a bachelor’s in special education from National Changhua University of Education, a master’s in education from National Chengchi University, and a master’s in teaching from Hamline University. 

A recent graduate of Amherst College, Adriel Roncal, joins the Language Department as a French and Spanish teacher and the residential community as a dorm parent. Adriel has a BA in French and political science and participated in the CUPA (Center for University Programs Abroad) immersion program in Paris, France, where he took classes at Sorbonne University. He was formerly an intern at the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the International Francophone Cultural Center. 

Gabriel Kane graduated from MIT this past spring with a double major in mathematics and music. While at MIT, Gabriel worked at the Early Childhood Cognition Lab and taught and developed coursework for the Spark Educational Studies program. He also participated in a number of musical ensembles (acapella, jazz, Senegalese drumming, chamber chorus), and was part of the running club. 

Anne Meinke comes to CSW from Arlington Catholic High School where she taught mathematics and computer science. At Arlington Catholic, Anne also served as faculty advisor for the student council and coordinated the school’s robotics club. She has a BS in computer science from the University of Cincinnati and an ALM in teaching mathematics from Harvard Extension School. 

Proshanto Mukherji, who’ll be joining CSW’s Math Department, has worked as a math tutor for all ages and levels and taught a number of popular undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics and computer science. Proshanto has a BS in computer science from New Jersey Institute of Technology, a JD from Harvard Law School, and a PhD in computer science from the University of Rochester.  

The Math Department also welcomes Sylvia Ngoc-Ogle, who will also be living on campus as a dorm parent. Sylvia earned her BS in mathematics from California State University (San Marcos), and has taught or tutored at a number of institutions, including 99 Tutors, Gear Up, California State University, Worcester Academy, Haverhill High School, and Lexington Singapore School. 

Yadira Valdez joins the DEI Office as director of student programs for leadership, equity & inclusion. Yadira will also be living on campus as a dorm parent. Yadira comes to CSW from the Pike School, where she was an admission associate and administrative assistant, and partnered closely with the Office of Community Life on issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has also worked as a youth match coordinator and facilitator at Family Services of Merrimack Valley, and volunteers at Lawrence’s UWander, a program that builds awareness of the American Latinx experience and raises $25k in scholarships for high school aged Latinas. Yadira studied criminal justice at Northern Essex Community College and sociology at Suffolk University. 

The Science Department welcomes Claire Bagnani, who joins CSW from Beaver Country Day School (MA), where she taught Zoom and in-person classes including “10th Grade Chemistry,” and “Forensics.” Prior to Beaver, Claire taught at The Innovation Institute (MA), Central High School (CT), and with Teach for America (CT). Claire earned a bachelor’s from Scripps College, an educator’s license from John’s Hopkins, and a master’s from Boston College. 


Justine Seely is our new student life coordinator. Prior to joining the CSW community, Justine served as an admissions representative at National Aviation Academy and a teacher and coach for the Benton Area School District in Benton, PA. She has a BS in business administration from Misericordia University and an MS in mid level education from Wilkes University.
