Support CSW
Annual Fund

Why Give?

Thanks to the CSW community, we exceeded our Annual Fund goal by $45,000 to reach an all time Annual Fund giving high of $860,000!

This includes 100% participation from our Board of Trustees and the senior class of 2017, 86% participation from our faculty and staff, more than half of our current parent population and a record number of alumni/ae donors (674) spanning nine decades.
Why Give to the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund enriches every aspect of the educational experience for all CSW students. At CSW, students are able to dig deeper into their learning and discover passions they didn’t even know they had. W
e depend on the generosity of our community to make this possible. We ask parents, alumni/ae and special friends to support CSW’s Annual Fund to ensure that our programs are fully supported.

Over the course of the year, in honor of CSW’s 130th birthday, we’ll be sharing with you the Top 130 Reasons to give to the Annual Fund—and we would love to know yours.

Share your reason with us today by emailing Development@csw.org.

Annual giving is vital to many areas:
 • CSW is dedicated to creating a vibrant and excellent community of learners that is racially, culturally, geographically and socio-economically diverse. By providing needs-based tuition assistance to 27% of our students CSW remains inclusive and attracts talented students based on their capacity and commitment to learning.
 • CSW students learn to become thoughtful creative adults who live socially responsible lives, The Annual Fund makes possible over 80 classes that fulfill CSW’s social justice requirement.
 • CSW attracts and maintains a superb faculty and remains competitive with peer schools by offering strong teacher compensation and enriching professional development opportunities.

‘An atmosphere for creative minds’

Nisani L. was selected by her classmates to be one of the student speakers at graduation this past June. During her speech, she characterized CSW as being for “livers” – and she wasn’t referring to bodily organs, but to people who are actively engaged in living: “CSW has created an atmosphere for creative minds to hatch unbelievable ideas and to then leap at each opportunity in making them come to life.”

'Magic in a Bottle'

The same spirit for love of learning and inquiry, excellence not only in teaching but also in nurturing and raising teenagers, still exist here today as it did when I was a student. CSW prepared me for life, both in a moral sense and for learning, in the most wonderful way.”

Eric Von Hippel ’59, P’13
Professor of Technological Innovation at MIT Sloan School of Management
