Dance Concert 2018: UNTOLD

Dancers delighted audiences with Untold, an evening of dances choreographed and performed primarily by students on March 8, 9, and 10, 2018. The event presented sixteen different performances from student choreographers Elizabeth Clackson ’18, Malik Gomes Cruz ’19, Lindsay Gould ’18, William Huang ’19, Katie Karaulova ’18, Cice Kaufer ’19, Marissa Leeman ’18, Molly Moir ’19, Ruby Russell ’20, Fiona Swope ’18, and Ariel Wu ’18, and dance faculty Matthew Hooper, Jeryl Pilapil, and Nailah Randall-Bellinger. More than 50 student-dancers across all grade levels performed in the show.

Any interested student may choreograph and pitch a dance for Dance Concert. Concert performances are viewed and voted on by fellow dancers two weeks before the concert each year. The CSW Dance Department welcomes all students to dance, regardless of experience or ability. The goal is to foster an intellectual curiosity and openness to the breadth, depth, and artistry of the dance world. Courses serve students who wish to pursue professional dance programs as well as those for whom dance is a personal explorative pursuit.
