This class allowed me to explore the wonders of the human body but also engage in stimulating decisions on our modern world. I was given the opportunity to design my own research project and present it to the community. I grew as a scientific thinker and as a communicator.

The majority of the writing we do in high school is academic focused, but this class allowed me to explore writing as an art form. The projects gave me room to expand upon my ideas and play with formatting and word choice. Through peer editing and teacher meetings ,my voice and connection to an audience grew more than I ever thought it could in six weeks.

This Collage class opened my eyes to art’s ability to express ideas rather than just be physically appealing. The teacher’s passion was infectious. I began to see the opportunity for art beyond a blank page.
WHAT HAVE BEEN SOME OF YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS AT CSW?
- I am an avid hiker and the Wilderness Trip gave me the opportunity to connect in the outdoors with other members of the CSW community. Over those three days I made friends that I may never have talked to without this opportunity.
- Through my neuroscience research project, I was able to design my own experiment. I felt connected to my research and spent hours collecting data and formatting my poster. I was and am very proud of the experiment I conducted.
HOW HAS YOUR TIME AT CSW SHAPED YOU AS A PERSON?
CSW has shaped me beyond academics. I have expanded on my ability to think critically and search for different perspectives. I have learned how to be successful in large collaborative projects and been provided endless opportunities to pursue my interests. I will not leave CSW with a handful of random facts memorized, but with the tools to approach problems and find meaningful solutions.

Favorite Spot on Campus: The chemistry classroom overlooking the quad. I have had some of my favorite classes there and it has a beautiful view.
Favorite Dining Hall Menu Item: The goat cheese and arugula salad.
Favorite D Block: I have really enjoyed all of the athletic D blocks I have taken, but soccer has to be my favorite.
