Jane's Pocket Change: Evening of the Arts

A huge thanks to everyone involved in making this one of the highlights of the CSW year.
A huge thanks to everyone involved in making this one of the highlights of the CSW year.

Just seven years ago—and I am sure for a while before that—Aaron Hirsch, then our dean of residential life, began suggesting (quite forcefully at times!) that we ought to find a way to host an end-of-mod art show in the evening so that families of boarding students might attend.  And so the first Evening of the Arts (EOA) was born!  That first EOA was wonderful and lots of fun.  As I look ahead to this evening I also acknowledge how far this event has come in the succeeding years under the leadership of Sherrill Bounnell and Tom Evans, chief co-wranglers of all things EOA-connected.

I do look forward to seeing you tonight. Wear festive comfortable clothing, because it gets crowded! Let's bask in the glory of hearing, seeing and feeling the beautiful performances and creative exhibits.

A huge thanks to everyone involved in making this one of the highlights of the CSW year.

And, as CSW reaches the end of the mod and an inviting winter break, I wish you joy, contentment and happy holidays.
