The Girls' Varsity Basketball team drove out to Landmark School yesterday to face off against a tough Landmark team.
The Girls' Varsity Basketball team drove out to Landmark School yesterday to face off against a tough Landmark team. The game tight from the opening tip-off. Both teams came out with a full court press and traded baskets during the first half. In the second half, Landmark's best player fouled out and the Gryphons pulled ahead by 11 points. However, Landmark didn't quit and pulled within 3 points. As the second half came to a close, CSW's timely free throws by Julia Cabrera '15 and Jessica Jaena '15 sealed the win. The Gryphons also got great contributions off the bench from Caroline Hickey '14 and Toya Pass '17. The final score saw CSW on top, 43-39.
