The CSW Ultimate Frisbee "B" Team hosted Waldorf School of Mass Bay on Monday, April 28.
The CSW Ultimate Frisbee "B" Team hosted Waldorf School of Mass Bay on Monday, April 28. The weather conditions were cloudy throughout the game and the temperature dropped steadily as play wore on. CSW started this match on the offensive end, receiving the pull to start play. Offensively, Uruk-Hai was able to play the game fast and loose, with confident positioning and passing. After CSW established command of the field early on, they found they were leading by a score of 5-0 with only 11 minutes elapsed. Waldorf staged their own rally and matched CSW into the half, but CSW finished strong with mixed line rotations. Goals were scored by ten different players - Jonah Stillman '17 was responsible for 4, David Kotlikoff '16, Will Wiatkowski '15, and Matt Bird '17 for 2 each. Additional solo goals were scored by Sylvia Blake '17, Ecco Parks '17, Paris Parks '14, Rayna Forman '16, and Ben Flomenbaum '17. One particular highlight of the 15-9 win was the pulling of the disc by Reese Moehlenkamp '16.

Defensively, CSW mixed one-on-one with zone coverage, while on-field communication has continued to improve. Hopefully when Uruk-Hai face more skilled opponents, they can put up a better fight and perhaps finish with some strong wins against tougher teams.
