The Ultimate "A" team welcomed the team from Boston University Academy on Friday, May 16, looking to claim their first win of the season against the tough BUA squad. BUA took the first match of the season by a score of 10-8 as the game was time-capped and ended after CSW staged an amazing but untimely comeback.

This game was quite different. The weather was wet and warm, with a slight wind. Perfect conditions for CSW's strong and relentless 3 man cup defense. Uruk-Hai came out of the gate with a ton of energy and enthusiasm. The teams traded points up until about 3-3, and then CSW took off. Handlers Jason Bair '14 and Jacob Arons '15 moved the disc across field with ease, often breaking the mark and getting beautiful dump/swings to switch the field and take advantage of cutters on the break side of the action. Handler Emily McCarter '14 was laying out all over the field and never took her eye off of the disc as she moved it downfield. CSW took half 8-5 and never looked back.

Using amazing defense by players such as Kasem Kydd '14, Chris MacFadyen '15, Owen McCarter '15 and Aidan Fitzgerald '17, CSW went on a 4 point run out of halftime to take a 12-5 lead. After a brief run by BUA, CSW ended the game using their patience on offense and prowess on defense. Uruk-Hai celebrated on the final point, as they claimed a 15-10 win.
