The CSW Ultimate A-team hosted Commonwealth School on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon on May 21st.
The CSW Ultimate A-team hosted Commonwealth School on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon on May 21st. This was a game in which many novice handlers were able to gain some valuable experience with in-game handling and H-stack maintenance. Our future handler core of Max Miller '16, Gus Parks '16, Will Blumenthal '16, Noah Wass '16, and Aidan Fitzgerald '17, all played significant minutes in this match-up.

Uruk-Hai came out of the first pull with a ton of energy and passion, with the sidelines providing ample support and noise for the players on field. CSW brought out their zone D early in the game and benefited from great defense from Kasem Kydd '14, Jacob Arons '15, Max Miller, and Joe Hille '16. Jacob Arons played some amazing Ultimate in this game, recording 4 goals and 3 assists. Kasem Kydd also had a few goals and some valuable defensive plays. One amazing highlight of the game was the deep play from Greg Wright '14 to Emily McCarter '14. After forcing a turnover on defense, Greg put the disc out in front of Emily in the endzone. Emily ran as hard as she could and layed out for the point as CSW's sideline burst into cheers. The final score of the match was CSW 15, Commonwealth 1.
