CSW Cross Country Places 2nd at Gann Academy Meet

The CSW Cross Country team traveled to Gann Academy on Tuesday, September 23.
The Gryphons put together a great performance during their third meet of the season.  The team managed to place second out of eight teams at the meet. CSW managed to finish second behind Gann Academy, only losing out on first place by a small margin of six points.

The Gryphons’ Zach Joachim ’15, had his third win of the season, despite the fact he went the wrong way briefly on the course. He finished with a time of 17:31. The next runner to finish for CSW was Aidan Fitzgerald ’17. He finished with a time of 20:17 and came in 7th place. Ben Blaustein ‘17 was the third runner to come in for the Gryphons. He finished with a time of 20:36.

Siyanda Stillwell ’17 was the fourth runner to cross the line for CSW with a time of 21:48. Andrew Gens ‘18 was the last runner to score for the Gryphons. His time when he crossed the finish line was 22:01.

It was a hard fought second place finish for the Gryphons. Their fourth meet of the season takes place at Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School, where hopefully the team will continue to produce strong performances as with the other previous meets.
