Girls' Varsity Soccer Defeats Gann to Move On in Playoffs

The Girls' Varsity Soccer team hosted Gann Academy on Tuesday, October 28th in a quarterfinals match-up of the 2014 IGC Playoffs.
The match-up was a lot closer than expected. Even though CSW dominated in possession and shots on goal, the Gryphons were only able to put one goal in the net throughout the game. Fayona Thomas '17 scored off a corner kick served beautifully by Lucy Perkins '15. The Gryphons also had great contributions from Andrea Bresnahan '17 and Caroline Keppler '18

CSW held onto the 1-0 lead using a tough defensive line and strong goalkeeping. The girls now move on to the semifinals where they will face a talented Montrose School team on Thursday, October 30th at 3:30 p.m. in Medfield.
