Boys' Varsity Basketball Records First Win of Season

The Boys' Varsity Basketball team hosted The Learning Center for the Deaf on Monday, December 8th, for their second game of the season.

CSW was looking to even up their season record, after dropping their first game of the year against a tough Covenant Christian Academy squad last week.

On Monday, the Gryphons found themselves in a first-half defensive struggle
. Aggressive play on both ends led to a low scoring first half. Sidelined with two early fouls, senior starter Elias Joseph ’15 came out in the 2nd half and ignited the CSW offense with a combination of fast break points and three point plays. The offense continued their assault with a well-balanced second half performance. All 11 players played valuable second-half minutes as the Gryphons captured their first win of the season by a score of  51-20.
