Jane's Pocket Change: We Pushed

It was so great to see so many of you gathered at our annual Dance Concert last weekend. What a moment of pride as we witnessed so many students, so many styles—such talent.

Since the Ramayan performance in December through the events of last weekend (and Poetic Justice last night), I have been struck, once again by the power of performance and the power of student voices. (Evening of the Arts, Vivaldi Gloria concert, Student Directed Workshop to name a few more.)

Our Black History Month assembly and the celebration of Lunar New Year, like the Ramayan performance were student-led and directed. We learned of many cultures and we observed our students dig deeply into themselves to find ways to present and perform, all the time learning more about themselves too.

Thank you to all involved in so much that continues to enrich our school—the risks you take, creatively and intellectually, make CSW stronger and better.

Here’s to a beautiful spring break to everyone—read, listen to some music, reflect and enjoy.
