The Empty Bowls fundraising event is an opportunity for all to gather, purchase a bowl painted by one of our students, and enjoy potluck-style meals, entertainment, and exciting games and raffles.

This year, we are working to raise money for Rosie’s Place, a local non-profit organization that serves as a community center and shelter for women (read more about their mission here). All profits from this event will go directly to supporting Rosie Place.

  • Mod 5 Wrap-Up

Mod 5 was a whirlwind! Between Social Justice Day and Earth Day and the many special schedules that we had, the five weeks went by in a flash! Of course our final All Boarders Weekend of the year was the most fun, full of lip syncing and game show competition and of course good food. Weekend activities took us mini-golfing, playing laser tag, visiting the Aquarium in Boston and navigating escape rooms at Level99. We also had our usual trips to Chinatown, Harvard Square and Waltham.

Our students engaged in deep learning and reflection during Social Justice Day which was focused on gun legislation and we had the amazing privilege of welcoming David Hogg to campus. On Earth Day, the organization Our Children's Trust talked to us about climate change and advocacy that youth around the country have been involved with, especially in the state court systems. Both days really seemed to activate our students and remind them that they can be agents of change. We ended the mod with a fantastic Art Show and Dance performances and a well deserved break. We are so excited for Mod 6 and all of the exciting events that come with closing out the school year!
  • Final Sunday Dinner May 19!

We have one Sunday dinner left this year that we are really looking forward to. Students should be back on campus by 5:30 on May 19 for a special meal and fun programming afterwards.
