  • Visual Arts Teacher and Thompson Gallery Director Todd Bartel Honored in the Art World

    Visual Arts Teacher and Thompson Gallery Director Todd Bartel has been making waves in the visual arts world. Known as a collage-based artist, Todd’s work assumes assembled forms of painting, drawing, and sculpture that examine the roles of landscape and nature in contemporary culture.

  • CSW Appoints New Academic Dean and Dean of Faculty

    Diana Baruni will serve as CSW’s next academic dean, taking the place of Chris Ellsasser, who leaves CSW at the end of this month for his new role as principal at Nauset Regional High School on Cape Cod. Diana has been at CSW since 2010, teaching French and serving as chair of the Language Department. Prior to joining the CSW community, Diana taught at the Webb School in California.

  • CSW Celebrates the Class of 2018

    Students, faculty, staff, alumni/ae, family, and friends gathered under the tent on the quad for CSW’s annual commencement exercises on a sunny day in June. Members of the Class of 2018 processed down the steps from the Garthwaite in threes and twos, passing under this year’s class arch, a beautiful assemblage of natural tree branches and vines intertwined with garlands of flowers and a single floral wreath at the top.
