Our school library offers a wide variety of resources to support the curriculum and student learning. The library is dedicated to helping students acquire the research and information literacy skills necessary for their classes, as well as providing resources that help feed their innate intellectual curiosities. Our librarians are committed to maintaining and developing a collection of books, eBooks, periodicals, visual materials, and digital content that supports our classes and reflects the diverse interests, cultures, and backgrounds of our community.
The library houses approximately 20,000 volumes, which include non-fiction and fiction texts as well as reference materials; more than 80 periodical subscriptions; a large collection of digital archives; a classroom set of laptop computers for in-library use; and 20 pairs of Google Cardboard Virtual Reality binoculars. Through an iPad program, students and faculty have access to individual iPads that can be borrowed for a day or to classroom sets of iPads that can be borrowed for a mod or more.
The Johnson Research Room, located within the library, is a networked multimedia classroom that provides students with access to computers and printers, as well as links to information resources outside of the library. Students can choose journals and reference sources through the Metrowest Massachusetts Regional Library system’s online research databases or through proprietary subscriptions to many online databases. Librarians collaborate with classroom teachers, matching resources in support of course goals.
