At CSW, history is a process of discovery rooted in inquiry, critical thinking, and a commitment to understanding the world through multiple lenses. Beginning with the foundational Food, Justice, and Power course in 9th grade and culminating in a wide range of interdisciplinary electives in 11th and 12th, students build the skills to research, write, question, and engage deeply.
Courses like United States: Writing About History, Decolonizing Women, and The New Cold War invite students to challenge assumptions, embrace complexity, and move beyond a single narrative. Through this work, they grow into bold, thoughtful historians—capable of facing the past, present, and future with clarity and purpose.
