Joyful Movement, Lifelong Habits

Helping students gain the skills and understanding to carry fitness into their adult lives is a core part of our athletic program. With our wide range of recreational activities, students are sure to find one that inspires them to get active and have fun doing it.

They can try hip hop dance, play volleyball “just for fun,” or build strength and improve their cardiovascular capacity in our fully-equipped fitness room. We also offer several different recreational athletic courses geared towards mindfulness and stress-reduction, such as Vinyasa Yoga. These classes, taught by certified yoga instructors, incorporate meditation, mindfulness exercises, and breathing techniques.

The Wilderness Program

CSW's Wilderness program provides opportunities for healthy physical and mental challenges for students of all skills levels, while teaching outdoors and survival skills. Students travel north to the White Mountains for backpacking trips in the fall; a cross country skiing, snow shoeing or ice climbing trip in the winter; or to Maine, for canoeing or sea kayaking trips in the spring.
