CSW will host a screening of the documentary film, I'm Not Racist...Am I?
Filmed in New York City, this documentary film focuses on how the current generation of young students are going to confront racism in their own lives. The film is part of a larger initiative – Deconstructing Race – developed by The Calhoun School to create a multimedia platform to get young people, their teachers and their families talking – and doing something – about structural systemic racism. The film begins promptly at 6:30 p.m., followed by a Q&A session with director Catherine Wigginton Greene.
CSW—a gender-inclusive day and boarding school for grades 9-12—is a national leader in progressive education. We live out our values of inquiry-based learning, student agency, and embracing diverse perspectives in every aspect of our student experience. Young people come to CSW to learn how to learn and then put what they learn into action—essential skills they carry into their futures as doers, makers, innovators, leaders, and exceptional humans who do meaningful work in the world.
