Students Perform at Mass. Music Educators Eastern District Senior Festival

On January 4 and 5, string bass players Leo Weisskoff ’19 and Anna Whitney ’21 participated in the Massachusetts Music Educators Eastern District Senior Festival. The top high school musicians from 30 towns and 54 schools are chosen by competitive audition for the festival, which includes two days of rehearsals and performances at Boston Latin School. Leo played in the jazz band and Anna played in the orchestra. They both participated in the 2018 festival as well and are an active part of CSW’s arts community, participating in Rock/Pop Ensemble and Chamber Orchestra.

CSW—a gender-inclusive day and boarding school for grades 9-12—is a national leader in progressive education. We live out our values of inquiry-based learning, student agency, and embracing diverse perspectives in every aspect of our student experience. Young people come to CSW to learn how to learn and then put what they learn into action—essential skills they carry into their futures as doers, makers, innovators, leaders, and exceptional humans who do meaningful work in the world.
