Preethi Ganesh '23 Organizes SAC Fundraiser

Back in 2019, Preethi Ganesh ’23 and a friend organized a Youth Council for Support a Child (SAC), an organization that provides support for children from India from underprivileged backgrounds. The council was created to offer a means for youth to get involved and bring awareness to the important work that SAC is doing.

This weekend, Preethi and the Youth Council will be hosting a virtual fundraiser for the organization featuring Harikatha performances. Literally translated to “the story of Vishnu,” Harikatha is a form of Hindu traditional discourse in which a storyteller explores a traditional theme accompanied by music, dance, theater, and poetry. The online event is open to the public and will take place on December 18 at 6 p.m. Click here to learn more and click here to watch the show live on December 18.

CSW—a gender-inclusive day and boarding school for grades 9-12—is a national leader in progressive education. We live out our values of inquiry-based learning, student agency, and embracing diverse perspectives in every aspect of our student experience. Young people come to CSW to learn how to learn and then put what they learn into action—essential skills they carry into their futures as doers, makers, innovators, leaders, and exceptional humans who do meaningful work in the world.
