Students from Japan Visit CSW as Part of the CSW Kakehashi Project

On Friday, January 17, CSW welcomed nine students from Miyako, Japan, for four days as the first part of the CSW Kakehashi Project. While on campus, CSW students acted as ambassadors to our school, taking students to their classes, enjoying lunch together, and participating in D Block activities. On the weekend, CSW students showed our guests around Harvard Square and some even joined them for brunch.
For the second part of the exchange, CSW will send nine students and two staff members to Japan in March. This was the second year in a row that CSW was granted the generous gift from the Japanese and American governments, and we thank alum Adrian Vele '07 for bringing this opportunity to CSW.

CSW—a gender-inclusive day and boarding school for grades 9-12—is a national leader in progressive education. We live out our values of inquiry-based learning, student agency, and embracing diverse perspectives in every aspect of our student experience. Young people come to CSW to learn how to learn and then put what they learn into action—essential skills they carry into their futures as doers, makers, innovators, leaders, and exceptional humans who do meaningful work in the world.
