CSW Girls Varsity Volleyball Advances to NEPSAC Semifinals
CSW's Girls Varsity Volleyball team has made school history, advancing to the semifinals of the NEPSAC tournament for the first time ever. This incredible milestone comes after an intense five-set victory over Montrose in the NEPSAC quarterfinals on November 10.
After falling short in their bid for the Independent Girls Conference (IGC) championship, the team regrouped with determination and heart. Led by Head Coach Ted Hurley, the Gryphons battled back after dropping the first set 19–25, storming through the second 25–14. The match continued to keep fans on the edge of their seats, with CSW narrowly losing the third 28–30 before rallying to take the fourth 25–22 and clinching the decisive fifth set 15–12.
This victory marks the first NEPSAC win in CSW volleyball program history, and the first time in more than 15 years that any CSW team has claimed a NEPSAC tournament win. The Gryphons now advance to face The Harvey School in the semifinals on Saturday.
