This past Saturday, 60 CSW students, faculty, and staff participated in all or part of a 12-hour read-a-thon in the Library.
The one restriction of the day? The reading could not be homework or assigned reading for school. Pleasure reading only! Over the course of the event, our readers logged 13,335 pages and 3,252 minutes of audiobooking, amounting to 28 books completed. And for every student that was able to complete 6+ hours of reading, the Library will be donating brand new Young Adult titles to an area organization on the student's behalf.
CSW—a gender-inclusive day and boarding school for grades 9-12—is a national leader in progressive education. We live out our values of inquiry-based learning, student agency, and embracing diverse perspectives in every aspect of our student experience. Young people come to CSW to learn how to learn and then put what they learn into action—essential skills they carry into their futures as doers, makers, innovators, leaders, and exceptional humans who do meaningful work in the world.
