Ben Hyams '12 Directs Sam Shepard's 'Angel City,' Jan. 5-6
Each year, CSW's spring calendar fill with events and presentations that are a result of the senior Capstone Project. This January 5 and 6, Ben Hyams '12 will present his project -- a production of Sam Shepard's "Angel City."
"Angel City" focuses on two Hollywood producers motivated by and concerned with budget, theme and profit. A young script writer filled with idealistic views of art and meaning in film serves as a contrast to them. The play explores the conflict between art and business, as the writer struggles to find the balance.
Ben, who directed the cast and crew of eight, will offer an opportunity for the audience to participate in a conversation following the performances.
The hour-long production on Thursday and Friday night is in the Black Box Theater. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free, so bring a friend, or a family member, or both
