The Girls' Varsity Basketball team drove to Woodward School for Girls yesterday afternoon, knowing they had a tough match-up ahead of them but ready for the challenge. This was a heartbreaker of a game. CSW led most of the game. However, Woodward took the lead with a minute left. Chloe Knopp '14 again led CSW with 15 points. The girls played great defense holding Woodward's leading scorer far below her average. Jessica Jaena '15 was mainly responsible for guarding her and she did a wonderful job. Jessica and Lucy Perkins '15 were also dominant on the boards. The girls showed mental toughness throughout the game and they were not affected by the difficult environment they were playing in. In the end, Woodward escaped with a 32-30 victory.
