The Ultimate "B" team welcomed Pingree School to campus on May 7th, for their second match-up of the season. The weather for the game was perfect! Warm temps, light winds and plenty of sun! CSW was fortunate to again have enough players for 3 complete line rotations. In the first half of play Pingree led CSW early with 3 quick goals scored. Uruk-Hai gained some ground with goals scored by Matt Bird '17 and Will Kwiatkowski '15, but they were outpaced to the half at 42:15 into the game, trailing by a score of 8-3. Despite 9 goals by 9 different players, CSW was outmatched by the conditioning, experience, and accurate throwing and catching of the Pingree starting lineup. Pingree repeatedly beat CSW to the end zone with skillful positioning. The final score of the game was Pingree 14, CSW 9. Additional goals were scored by Gus Parks '16 (2), Paris Parks '14, David Kotlikoff '16,Jonah Stillman '17, and Rayna Forman '16. Overall, it was a good match and hopefully some lessons were learned in the rapid transition and speed required to win a tough Ultimate game.
