  • Donate to CE Groups Drives

This week four of our Community Engagement groups will be kicking off drives to collect various items for the organizations with which they work. Please see the information below for details.

    JEFF'S PLACE:
We’re  aiming to put together summer-fun care packages for 75 children between the ages of 3-18 who have experienced the death of a parent or sibling. Jeff's Place is a not-for-profit bereavement center in Framingham that supports these children and their families. They offer free support groups to talk about their grief, connect with others who understand, and learn healthy ways to cope. No one should grieve alone. We can't accept monetary donations, but we are looking for people interested in donating items that will be included in the packages. Collection boxes will be placed near the Dining Hall and in the lobby of The Fit. Heres the Link to Donate to Kids.

    QUEER ART AND COMMUNITY:
Queer Art and Community will host a book drive for The Little Queer Library in Waltham from 4/29 to 5/13.  We are looking for new or lightly used, up-to-date LGBTQIA+ themed books. We will place boxes near the Dining Hall, in The Fit lobby, and in the Art building.

    PERIOD POVERTY:
We’re excited to invite you to take part in an important and meaningful initiative led by our CE class on Food and Period Poverty: the upcoming CSW Period Drive!
This drive is part of Period Poverty Awareness Week in the U.S. (May 11–17, 2026), a time dedicated to ending stigma and increasing access to essential menstrual products. It also falls within May’s recognition as National Menstrual Health Awareness Month, and connects to the global movement marked by Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 28.

    Drive Details:
    Dates: May 6 - May 15, 2026

Collection Box Locations: The Fit, Dining foyer, Kluchman Library
We will also be hosting a Period Collection Party on Wednesday, May 13 during lunch, a chance to come together, contribute, and build awareness as a community.

We welcome donations of menstrual products such as pads, tampons, liners, and other hygiene essentials. Your contributions will help support individuals who face barriers to accessing these basic needs.

This is a powerful opportunity for our community to come together, reduce stigma, and make a tangible difference. We hope you’ll join us in supporting this effort and helping us create a more equitable and informed community.

    Thank you for your support!

  • Pre-Summer Junior Parent Coffee

College Counseling's Pre-Summer Junior Parent Coffee will be held on Zoom on Thursday, May 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. We will offer some very brief updates on the college process and provide some "pre-summer" reminders for you and your students. Additionally, parents from the Class of 2026 will join us to offer "parent-to-parent" advice on navigating the college process with your student. The event will be recorded and posted on our MyCSW College Counseling 2027 Group Page.
  • ACT/SAT Diagnostic Opportunity

The CSW College Counseling office is happy to provide junior students the opportunity to take a practice ACT or digital SAT virtually through Revolution Prep, our standardized testing preparation partner.

This is an at-home exam with options to test independently or as part of a national mock test date. National mock tests are offered on Saturdays at both 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.; independent testing can be done at any time. Once complete, students will receive a thorough diagnostic report to help them interpret and analyze the results.

Families interested in pursuing this opportunity should visit the landing page to see all available options for at-home independent and national mock testing. All practice tests are free, and families do not need to utilize Revolution Prep's test preparation services to access the tests.

Students or families with questions about testing should contact Randy Jose from the College Counseling office or David Zimbalist from Revolution Prep.
