CSW Welcomes Chris Seeley as Associate Head of School for Advancement

The Cambridge School of Weston (CSW) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Chris Seeley as our new Associate Head of School for Advancement.
Chris brings nearly three decades of leadership experience in independent schools, with a distinguished career that spans strategic advancement, academic innovation, student enrichment, and mission-driven leadership.

In this newly created role, Chris will serve as a key member of the leadership team, developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to advance the mission, reputation, and financial sustainability of The Cambridge School of Weston. With strong collaboration with the Marketing & Communications Office, Chris will provide vision and strategic oversight for the school’s Development and Admissions Offices to ensure cross-departmental alignment and foster strong relationships with current and prospective families, alumni, donors, and the broader school community.

“I am thrilled to welcome Chris to our leadership team,” said Head of School Lise Charlier. “Chris brings a rare combination of wisdom, warmth, and strategic vision that aligns well with CSW’s mission and progressive ethos. I look forward to partnering with him as we continue to deepen relationships, expand our reach, and steward the school’s future.”

Chris joins CSW from Saint Thomas Choir School in New York City, where he served as Head of School, leading all facets of operations, institutional advancement, and strategic planning. Under his leadership, the school experienced enrollment growth for the first time in over a decade and strengthened key partnerships with the church and broader community. Prior to his tenure at Saint Thomas, Chris served as Assistant Head of School and Director of Academics at Church Farm School in Pennsylvania, where he spearheaded curriculum innovation, faculty development, and a reimagining of the graduate profile. His earlier roles at Trevor Day School in New York City included leadership in strategic initiatives, admissions, and upper school academics — positions through which he championed equity and inclusion, built dynamic academic programs, and forged deep connections with families, faculty, and donors.

Chris began his educational career at Groton School, his alma mater, where he held multiple roles including Dean of Faculty, Assistant Director of Admissions, and teacher of religion and ethics. He is a proud graduate of Bowdoin College and holds a master’s degree in Private School Leadership from the Klingenstein Center at Columbia University’s Teachers College.

Chris’s national leadership includes serving on the Board of Trustees for The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) and the Keewaydin Foundation, as well as committee roles with the National Association of Episcopal Schools and Episcopal Charities of New York. He is widely recognized for his thought leadership, strategic insight, and unwavering commitment to mission-driven education.

A lifelong advocate for progressive learning communities, Chris is excited to bring his vision and values to CSW, where he will lead advancement strategy and foster meaningful relationships across our vibrant community of students, families, alumni, and supporters.
