Girls' JV Soccer Play Final Game of Season

In the final game of the season, the Gryphons were defeated by Concord Academy 3-1.
The Cambridge School of Weston faced Concord Academy at home for their final game of the 2015 season. Prior to the game beginning, senior Julz Iwerks '16 was recognized for her contributions to the team.

Concord came ready to play, and scored soon after the game began with a well placed shot. Keeper Olivia Ask '16 made a couple of saves to keep the net clear, and keep CSW in the game. The Gryphons fought to regain their passing skills, and control the ball. As the half continued, CSW players began executing teamwork and moving the ball towards the Concord net. The best scoring opportunities for Cambridge came from strong shots byEmily Murdock '18. With less than two minutes remaining in the half, CA scored once more, resulting in a two goal lead for the Chameleons at the half.

The second half proved to be a battle for the ball, with each team attempting scoring opportunities that were turned away. Persistence paid off, and CA scored resulting in a 3 goal lead. CSW continued to rally, and with several minutes left in the game, Nisani Lopez '16 pursued a loose ball in the Chameleons' box. Her efforts were rewarded and put the Gryphons on the scoreboard. After Lopez's score, CSW persisted in scoring opportunities, however the clock ran out before they could score again.

The final score of the game was 3-1.
